This week, the children will be learning about parts of a plant. They should start off by watching the ‘Parts of a Plant’ video on BBC Bitesize, which can be found below. When the children have watched this, they can go through the ‘Parts of a Plant’ Powerpoint. The children should then complete the worksheet entitled Parts of a Plant, where they should use the word bank to label the parts of the plants with arrows next to them. The children may colour the flower when they have finished labelling.
This year, the focus of British Science Week is 'Innovating for the Future', and we'd like you to design and make your own (new) invention at home. Click on the documents below for more information about how you can take part and for some information about famous inventors.
