We are so lucky to have a fantastic wildlife garden in our school grounds with the added advantage of a pond. Our pupils love learning outdoors and exciting science lessons take place here all year round. Over time, it does however become a bit overgrown but hopefully we can work together to develop it further in the summer term. We will be looking out for a new team of volunteers to help us tidy it up a bit and make it even more accessible to all our pupils. Start thinking of some ideas which you would like to see added to make this garden even better.
Our Wildlife Garden is used weekly by Early Years for Wildlife Wednesday. They go down every week and compete Forest School activities such as cooking on a camp fire, bashing with mallets, climbing, digging, planting and exploring the natural world! Children leave Early Years with a solid understanding of changing of seasons and a good vocabulary for the wildlife and plants they might see in our wildlife garden due to their hands on experience with the outdoors.
